I noticed a "serial gadget" in the PC Prefs, what is this for, according to the manual which came with the board you cannot access the Amiga serial device from the PC side, is this to allow Amiga access a serial port on the PC side and does this explain the existence of an address for COM1 in the Janus stuff? We have a key-protected CAD package for the PC which we were going to use on the BridgeBoard, but found that we had to plug in a serial/parallel card on the PC side to attach the key to, it wouldn't work attached to the Amiga parallel port even though it was assigned to the PC side, anyone have any ideas about how to make the Amiga parallel port function like LPT1? Most importantly, I put a couple of old 20MB drives on the PC side and am using one for the PC and one for the Amiga. The key thing is that these are not new drives and the one in use for the Amiga has some bad blocks on it. I've partitioned around the bad blocks, but there must be a better way to take care of bad blocks. Will the new Fast File System handle bad blocks? The easiest way to handle them that I can think of would be to create a bad block file and link the identified blocks to the file, this is not possible with any of the existing disk tools that I know of (diskdoctor, disksalv, disked, or sectorama), before I start working on such a tool I'd like to know if one already exists, and what the FFS will do about bad blocks.
