Smith) Organization: University of Minnesota Lines: 11 I was being adventurous one night, and I set out to track down that whining. It is definitely coming from the power supply. I suppose it could be because the processor is changing speeds/handling interrupts and is bouncing its power consumption levels around. As far as I know, it's not REALLY a problem, just a nuisance. (Like the Mac SE's fan) Any hardware hackers out there that are experienced with switching power supplies? Brian
