So THAT'S what happened to the nifty BCE red pages in computer shopper.. (really, I didn't know!) I ordered and received a Bachelor drive last Fall, and it worked fine. The door was definitely a bit strange - swung the opposite way I expected, but otherwise not a problem. I even torture tested it when it first arrived - nothing fancy, just multiple reads and writes. It did have a problem properly formatting disks, but I formatted them on the other drive, and the Bachelor didn't have any problems reading or writing. I no longer have the 1/2 drive, for the Apple system was on loan to me last semester by a good friend, and I sold the Bachelor drive about a month ago at the begininning of the semester. Have you tried contacting Bachelor or BCE about the problem? Is BCE reorganizing? Mike Yellin BITNET: Sparks@Drycas ARPA: MY0L@Andrew.cmu.edu
