Any chance of a fix ... John? Yes: it sounds like he used the unpublished, floating variable for the keyboard shift state, rather than the BIOS call which gives the same information. I can understand using the OS variable when it's time-critical, like in the main loop of a game, but why not use the BIOS call when it's just a one-shot?
