It is great! BUT I can't run it! It absolutely requires a one megabyte machine. With all the resident programs flushed it still won't compile a small sized C source file. Also, It accesses drive A: for some reason every time it starts even when installed on the hard disk - forcing me to wait while it times out. They obviously tested this thing on a 1040ST with floppy only. If someone at Megamax is listening : Please produce a version that will run with 512K. OR: revise the old shell and editor to include env. vars, the new editor and interfaces to the linker/compiler. Does anyone out there know how to install an environment variable? Are the env var.s standard in the ST OS? If I can get these variables installed I can at least run the new version of the Laser C compiler with the old shell - pity since the new dev shell really is fantastic. Yah, yah, I know get the d*&m thing upgraded to 1 meg.. :-) Thanks, Richard Werezak McMaster University UUCP: cs4l3ah@maccs.UUCP BITNET: w8304818@mcmvm1.BITNET, carson@mcmaster.BITNET
