Math/CS Dept. Lines: 13 Keywords: bytes readable on fifo Help! Does anyone know of a System V system call that will return the number of bytes on a fifo that are readable without actually reading the fifo? I am running 3.5 on a 3b1 if that helps. Sure would be nice not to have to simulate this service (if indeed it can be simulated). Please E-mail responses; I will post a summary if interest merits. Thanks in advance. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Ford UUCP: { gatech | gt-eedsp }!emory!dfjr or {...}!emory!davejr!dave --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
