What you are looking for is a capability provided by the UTIL program (Utility Disk). The menu selection you wish to do is "File Conversion." Then you wish to convert from ASCII text (Emacs files) to Multimate (Document files). The process is fully documented in the Advanced User's section of the Multimate manual. I have had to help users with this in the past so I know it is possible. Sit down with a backup copy of your document (Emacs style) and give it a go. I shouldn't take too long to figure out.
