	Could someone out there either  inform me as to a method (or point me
in the direction of a method) to allow a memory resident program on the PC to
do file manipulations (i.e. open and close). 

	Is there a way to cause a resident  program to switch from  "background-to-foreground and vice versa? 


	Any help would be welcomed.
