You can guess by using past experience tho. 220 to 250 kilobytes/sec. rates an interleave of 2 on an AT type controller. 160 to 190 kilobytes/sec. rates an interleave of 3 on ditto, 130 to 150 kbps is a 4:1. These three are the most commonly used numbers. A special track buffering controller (WD1006) that will allow 1:1 interleaves will yield transfer rates upwards of 400 kbps.
