I have some basic questions about sound that I haven't been able to
answer from the various manuals that I have:
- what are soundcap files and what programs produce them?
- what are snd files and what programs produce them?
- how do the two types of snd files differ?
- which kinds of files are ones of type FSSD and UVOX (from
  SoundEdit&SoundWave, and Deluxe Music Construction set) in terms of
  soundcap and snd?
- how can I convert SoundEdit files to DMCS instrument files?  or vice versa?
- what are the files called "sound resources" that have no type and
  creator that show up in my folders?
