I think I had tried that, but will try it again. I have also (so far) gotten email responses from Richard Siegel of THINK (rs4u+@andrew.cmu.edu), who suggested the Enter key, but only if using the old Mac keyboard; and from Ken Hancock (isle@eleazar.dartmouth.edu), who suggested Cmd-Shift-3.
