I've tried 2 compilers (they will remain nameless) that don't make it. I need a compiler that can do the following (in order of importance): 1) Conforms to the F77 standard (including the character handling operator // and the character functions LEN and INDEX). 2) Handle tons of COMMON blocks and BIG block data subprograms (maybe 3-400 real variables in COMMON). I take no blame for this! :-) 3) Allow "calls" to the operating system (ie get a list of all data files, print files, erase files) 4) Have some way of getting the system time and date into a variable. Unfortunately, conversion to C or any other language is out of the question. Thanks in advance. -- JTFOX@LION.WATERLOO.EDU What? You were in the next room all this time? I would have just come over to see you!
