You must have a 512Ke (or 512K plus new ROMs) to use the DataPort.  I
bought one for my ex-128K-ex-512K-now-1 mb Macintosh to use with the
DataFrame 40XP.

I used it for 4 months before getting a Mac II.  Zero problems, worked
just fine.

I would assume so, although I never tried it.  However, they do use a
different connector then the 25-pin D-connect on the back of most Macs
(the connector is the same as is on DataFrames) so you may have to get
a special cable made.  They supply one with the kit (I think), so you
may just have to daisy chain to your harddrive.
