Lines: 18 Howdy: I hope I'm not number 103 to answer this. The question was: How do you preserve the Finder's comments when you want to rebuild the desktop file?? I used ResEdit to copy all the comment resources out. I believe they are found in the desktop file under FCMT. Just cut them all out and save them on a floppy and then rebuild the desktop and then paste them back in. Recommendation: BACKUP HARD-DRIVE BEFOREHAND!!!! This could be potentially very dangerous!!!! If you screw up the desktop you could loose it all! It's worked fine for me for about 4 months (4 times). good luck, gray watson
