 Does anyone have a decent double columns macro in TeX. I have already
 played around with the ones in the book. They are alright but slightly
 hard for novices or those people who just want it to work.

 It wold be nice to be able to specify the gutter between columns.
 
 It also should be able to switch between single and double columns.
