Conference attendance will be about 400 software professionals from industry, government, and universities. This year's keynote speaker is Edward Yourdon. Papers will be selected on the basis of abstracts, and refereed for publication in the Proceedings. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to): case studies parallel software productivity and quality liability object-oriented design testing technology real-time software risk management cost/schedule estimation project management design methodologies software metrics user interfaces documentation marketing quality CASE environments reusability software standards version control off-the-shelf software re-engineering software ABSTRACTS should include enough detail to give reviewers an under- standing of the final paper, including a rough outline of its con- tents. Describe what has been learned, the work's implications, in preference to giving details of what was done. The abstract should be 2-4 pages long. PLEASE INDICATE: if the work is experimental or theoretical, whether software has been implemented, whether a case study is described, if the most likely audience is managerial or technical.
