We feed news to thirteen leaf sites via UUCP from osu-cis, and a few
more via NNTP from tut.cis.ohio-state.edu over the campus- and
Ohio-wide IP networks.  These numbers are growing weekly.

Unfortunately, we found out late yesterday that our Usenet link,
cbosgd, is going away Very Very Soon, so we find ourselves in
desperate need of new connectivity.  (pyramid!csg is graciously,
though temporarily, feeding us most of our old distributions until we
find a better way.)  Coincidentally, the campus IMP was put into
service just this week - OSU is now connected to the ARPAnet via CMU,
and to the NSFnet via the Pittsburgh Supercomputer Center.

Is there anyone willing and able to offer us an NNTP news feed?  In
the best of all worlds, of course, we would like to establish full
bi-directional feeds with several Usenet backbone sites who are also
on the Internet; but anyone who can help us out would earn our eternal
gratitude.  Well, maybe not eternal, but it would certainly make a lot
of people in central Ohio pretty happy for quite a while.

(Although I am subscribed to it, I have lost the address of the
NNTP-Managers list - would somebody please forward this plea to them?
