This past week, I posted a note to comp.lang.pascal.

Today, I was reading it to see if there were any followups.  One of
the followups was signed (according to our notes system) wsmith@b.cs.uiuc.EDU
That is supposed to be me!

Does a mixup like this happen very often?  Inside the note was a real
signature with an address of R1TMARG@AKRONVM.BITNET
