All things definitely out of place on amateur Right. Two Comments... First, that is EXACTLY why I would like to see a personal packet network using some frequencies other than amateur. There are LOTS of things that I can legally talk about on CB that I can't talk about on amateur radio such as business communications, etc... In fact, one probably couldn't read most of these articles on an amateur packet channel due to their contents. Secondly, the reason that I proposed CB channels instead of some NEW set of channels, is that it is very unlikely that any new VHF/UHF channels are available for a public packet network. I would prefer the top part of CB being taken for packet, instead of the top part of 6 meters. Matthew Kaufman, KA6SQG (matthew@ucsck.ucsc.edu) (...!ucbvax!ucscc!ucsck!matthew) p.s. I started this discussion about allowing packet on CB... please don't tell me to go out and get a ham license... I already have one. Thank You.
