We want to be able to move to a different operating system, i.e., UNIX, and are looking to get there via Oracle. (Oracle is available under PRIMOS, and under UNIX, VMS, et cetera, so we figure if we move our applications to Oracle we'll have a much more portable applications system.) Does anyone have any experience doing this kind of thing, or even of running Oracle under PRIMOS (rev 21 on a 4050, 2.4 MIPS with 16MB)? (We hear that Prime will be releasing native-mode UNIX on their 50-series machines some day, so we may never change hardware vendors. But we do want the option.) Please respond by email; I'll summarize. John Lees Senior Programmer/Analyst MABC-Select Sires ihnp4!msudoc!lees
