But I have worked with broadband equipment. I would venture a guess that the Ethermodem looks like a transciever, so you need some sort of router or bridge to connect your local segment. Presumably (though Sytek obviously wants to sell you one of theirs) you can use any manufacturer that strikes your fancy. -Ron
