Is there any systems manager of such a machine who can advise me on the correct procedures? My system has FOR:PRO 1.8, the development utilities (the rest of UNIX), and a COMM-A COMMUNICATIONS CARD. The problem seems to lie in the need to define a new node so that the port, say /dev/tty05 is also defined as /dev/cul5; following instructions in a users's newsletter did not work. Since there is no available local support, your advice would be very valuable. The modem available is a Novaton "Parrot" 1200 baud device whose pin-outs match the Fortune pinouts. If necessary, I could obtain a Microcom 1200c.
