Message-ID: <2496@orca.TEK.COM> Date: 9 Mar 88 21:51:52 GMT Organization: Tektronix Inc., Wilsonville, OR Lines: 12 Years ago I used a version of Emacs which had a feature called "auto-argument-mode". While in this mode, you didn't have to type Control-U or ESC before entering a numeric argument. It was somewhat intelligent in that the typed number echoed in the minibuffer and was inserted into the current buffer only after a non-command character was entered. I believe that backspace and rubout also didn't have their normal bindings during input of the argument. Does anyone have a defun for GNU Emacs which provides this function? -- - - Roger Christal - - >>=-
