This works fine under suntools and using the console as a raw terminal. The X server obviously recognises left and right as meta keys because i have uwm men`us bound to the meta-button combinations, and that works. But the server seems to trap the meta keys. IS there a way to get around this problem? (by "standard" gnu above I mean one for which "have-X-windows" as not defined when the emacs was made. Is it necessary to define this in order to use the meta-keys? Can non-x users (ie suntools) still use the emacs then? can I have has-X-windows and the suntools flag both set in the same make?) thanks in advance for any help Simon Kaplan University of Illinois (kaplan@a.cs.uiuc.edu) (ihnp4!uiucdcs!kaplan)
