This was posted in misc.jobs but (I believe) the group is not
distributed outside the USA.

I am interested in working on applied research in distributed systems in
Canada (maybe in a research lab or a company doing applied research).
However, I have not been able to find much information or addresses of
companies in Canada. (No such thing as a Peterson's guide to Jobs in
Canada). I have contacted the Canadian Consulate in Chicago and they
could not help. 

Here is my background. I am about to receive (May 1988) my Ph.D. in
Computer Science in the area of distributed systems (more precisely,
fault-tolerant protocols for computer networks). 

Can anyone in netland point me to references on this subject?. I will
appreciate any information that anyone can send me. (I will especially
like names and addresses of persons that I could contact).
