I just mailed the updated source to ups to the moderator for comp.sources.unix.
The changes allow it to compile and run successfully on our Sun systems running
4.2bsd under Sun/OS 3.4.

In case you didn't see the earlier posting (several weeks ago), ups is a nifty
was to send bulk/binary files between hosts without mounting filesystems or
using ftp.  It works and it's neat.
