Summary: Need protocol based reliable transfer program for DEC Prof.

Hi, can anyone out there give me or point me to a copy
of a protocol based file transfer program that I can use 
to ship files between a DEC Prof and an MS/DOS system?
I do not have the "toolbox" or whatever the programmming
environment stuff is called for the prof, so I need binaries
at that end, or maybe a sneaky way to cross compile/assemble
on Vax/SUN/MS-DOS/Multics/CMS (/Atari 8 bit ;->) machines? 
Also are there DEC Prof newsgroups/mailing lists/internet 
software acrhives?
