I haven't even bothered decoding V2.8, because I was not at all impressed with V2.7. I'm afraid that I expect 95% or greater emulation of VT100 features when using a terminal emulator and V2.7 fell far short of the mark. As to the backspace sending a delete ($7F) character - hooray ! That's the way it should be...the VAX/VMS loves $7F chars !! What ? You're not using VAX/VMS ? Shame on you ! Seriously, ANY VT100 terminal emulator worth its salt will have a configurable backspace/delete option... Richard K.
