  A while back (before I lost mt net connection and regained it) there
  had been discussion as to a port of an X server /driver to the Ami.

  What is the state of this project?  If it's been done, how would one
  go about getting source (preferred), binaries, doc, etc?  I am
  curious (and magenta).
