Well, looks like I jumped the gun.  Several many people have mailed
me that a committee is a bad idea, so I'm scrapping it.  I'm just
impatient to having a standard that I can write code to during
Spring Break.

By the way, Pete, you certainly did convince me on a number of
points, and helped me understand some of the problems a little
better.  I'm going back and re-reading those IPC messages a little
more closely . . .
