Don't DELETE C:RUN Message-ID: <8803142036.AA08535@jade.berkeley.edu> Date: 14 Mar 88 20:33:00 GMT Sender: usenet@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Lines: 21 Last night I deleted the RUN command from the C: directory. Don't ask why... it was mostly a typo. ("Mostly": I don't know if faulty logic at 4AM can be called a typo) Did you know that you can't click on the CLI icon (and expect it to work) if you don't have a RUN command? It took me a long time to figure that one out. I guess this has something to do with Execute("") creating a newCli? (Or is it Execute("run")? I don't have my manuals with me). Well that was certainly a scary moment in my life. (I bet this problem gets posted every six months. Luckily I've only had net-access for the last 5) Tom Limoncelli Drew University/Madison/NJ 07940 BITNET%"tlimonce@drew" "He purchased a 68000-based machine, and programmed it in C, and there was much rejoicing" -- Myself & Monty Python -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "As I save this message I will realize that I forgot to proof-read it" Disclaimer: These are my views, not Drew University or my employer --------------------------------------------------------------------------
