As a result my question is rather biased by a main-frame point of view. Actually I have 2 questions: 1) How can I get a listing of ALL the processes that are competing for CPU time (including the current CLI, workbench, etc.) 2) Suppose one of the processes listed has run amok, how can I kill it and any daughter processes, freeing up any buffers they are using, without upsetting anything else? Please respond by e-mail to uucp ---- dooley@helios.toronto.edu or bitnet -- dooley@utorphys If either question turns out to have a non-trivial answer I will post a summary to the net.
