Someone must have forgotten to tell the ad executives that Bill Cosby is black ( :-) ). Actually, I also see Arthur Ash is an ad for an aspirin product even today. I think the main problem with black tennis players is that there isn't anyone with name recognition that the majority of the public will instantly say 'oh, that's (substitute any name you can think of here)'.
