The nroff driver tables in /usr/lib/term are very primitive and only provide support for the most trivial typesetting (at least that's true for HP-UX). However, there is a nroff table driver program by Bruce Townsend. Look in comp.sources.unix. Bruce has in his posting added a nroff driver table for the Laserjet+ allowing you to print nicely looking mathematical formulas, perfectly aligned tables etc. In fact, the driver table almost turns nroff into troff. It should work for Laserjet II too. You must have access to the special character fonts in your LJ (either cartridge or soft fonts). We use a Math Elite cartridge. If you want I can send the driver program and table. -Bo -- >>> Bo Thide', Swedish Institute of Space Physics, S-755 90 Uppsala, Sweden <<< Phone (+46) 18-300020. Telex: 76036 (IRFUPP S).
