Simple Question :

How do I read the joystick position (from C or assembler)    
on an IBM XT ??????????????

I looked up the port address (201?), and I can read it and see it 
change as the buttons on the joystick are pressed, but how do I
read the position of the stick itself?

How about centering the stick - any tips ?
