I don't usually do much pc work any more, now that I'm out of school, so I'm not real psyched about buying msc v5.0 if I don't have to. Nevertheless, I find that I'm often converting unix code to MS-DOS and there's something important missing. The current problems are the alarm() and signal() functions. I'll write an alarm and a signal that can handle it if I have to, but I don't want to do the work twice (there's lots of room for error when playing with interrupts). If somebody out there knows where I can get these functions, or if anybody has any idea where I might look I'd apreciate the info. By the way, I mention msc v5.0 because I understand it's got a better library (nothing like a little competition to improve a product). Does v5.0 actually have alarm()?
