Though they don't like to say anything bad, the Sony didn't fare too well. It has a mechanical relay that makes a lot of noise when you change video modes. Personally, I've just gone to EGA and have had problems finding a decent monitor. The TAXAN looked very good, but the one I got was defective (Red would flicker on and off). When my dealer tried to replace it, he was unable to find one that was not defective in some way - apparently they've got real troubles with quality control. We then tried Thomson. It has (a) the same annoying noisy relay as the Sony, and (b) highly unstable display under certain combinations of color and text - try the PROCOMM help screen, for instance. I currently have a NEC MultiSync II on order.
