Hi,

My two or four cents worth... I have a Sony 1302, with the mechanical relay.

I don't know about anyone ele, but I don't find the click annoying. Mainly
due to the fact I stay in EGA mode 90% of the time (or whatever the default
mode is with a Vega Deluxe card).

I do run many different packages, from OrCAD to Framework, all of course
twidle the display lots. The only time the display really clicks is when the
scan frequency changes, or going from monochrome to color modes.

The up side to all this is that the Sony is the ONLY monitor that looks good
at 800x600 resolution (I should qualify that as the only fair priced monitor
under $1,000.00). The NEC can barely be read because of it's poor resolution.
I know, I have one at work! The Sony looks great at 800x600.

Another Sony monitor to look at if price is a concern (the Sony is about $100
more than the NEC), is the Sony 1303?, it is the same electronics as the 1302
with a lower resolution display. It is the equivalent of the NEC II.

I like my Sony. The colors are correct, and the contrast control really works.
Not like my NEC (or any of the NEC's I've seen).
