How come it :doesn't happen to me? (SE w/ 20M, MF and 1 Meg) With the latest Finder (6.0) applications get their Get Info comments from a special resource all applications have (the one which identifies their 'creator' - I forget the right name for it). This is often called the version string, and it doesn't go away when you rebuild the desktop (it isn't in the desktop). Non-applications ("documents") don't have this and will lose their comments. I don't know what happens with an application which also has a desktop (FCMT) comment. /JBL UUCP: {harvard, husc6, etc.}!bbn!levin ARPA: levin@bbn.com
