The C++ by AT&T is somewhat like a preprocessor, but it also plays with the objects upon exit and etc. This is AT&T's software so if you want to use it be prepared to pay $$$. It would also be difficult to get running on a Mac (maybe with A/UX). GNU C++, on the other hand, is a complete compiler so you would not be in the LSC environment any longer. Again I think there may be problems porting it to the Mac.
