[I'm not sure whether this should've gone in comp.sys.mac.programmer, but I don't think so...] I just ftp'ed the 8 parts of uw 4.2 from mordor.s1.gov. It all seemed OK, except for the Mac BinHex section. When I downloaded it to my II and used Stuffit 1.31 on it, first it gave a CRC error upon decoding it. It did create a PackIt file, though. Then when I tried to decode the PackIt file, it first started to work on the uw application. It got mostly done, and then said "CRC check failed! This file may be corrupted! Use with caution!" Then, after telling me this, it put up an alert saying "Sorry, StuffIt can't decode files in any format other than basic PackIt (such as encrypted files)." (or words to that effect) I assume that the uw archived on mordor has become corrupted, or else it was PackIted with a really, really old version of PackIt. Could someone (anyone?!) send me a copy of uw 4.2, preferably Stuffit packed so I don't have to hassle with this any more? (Or maybe the author of uw could update the archive...) All I need is the Mac application and documentation; all the Unix server stuff appears OK. Thanks! Rob Jellinghaus | "In my heart...
