Lines: 32 I find that Turbo Pascal works very well with limited memory and disk space. Doesn't require that you configure RAMDisks and other stuff. In the olden days before I started working at Apple, I developed with TurboPascal on a 512K Mac (NOT 512e!) I distrust using RAMDisks during development because of the compile-run-CRASH cycle. If you got more disk space (like 2 floppies) the Symantec THINK products (did I say that right? :-)) are easier to use. Basically, Turbo Pascal is very tiny but packs quite a bit of punch. It lacks source level debugging and project management that Lightspeed Pascal has. Lightspeed C does not (yet) have source level debuggin but is very fast. Please mail me if you want more details. I have development extensively in my pre-Apple life in Lightspeed Pascal, Turbo Pascal, and Lightspeed C. Now I use MPW. I have no connection with Symantec/THINK or Borland. This is NOT an official Apple position or endorsement - just my own tuesday night ramblings. ------------------------ Byron Han, Communications Tool ---------------------- Apple Computer, Inc. 20525 Mariani Ave, MS 27Y Cupertino, CA 95014 ATTnet:408-973-6450 applelink:HAN1 domain:han@apple.COM MacNET:HAN GENIE:BYRONHAN COMPUSERVE:72167,1664 UUCP:{sun, voder, nsc, decwrl}!apple!han -- ------------------------ Byron Han, Communications Tool ---------------------- Apple Computer, Inc. 20525 Mariani Ave, MS 27Y Cupertino, CA 95014 ATTnet:408-973-6450 applelink:HAN1 domain:han@apple.COM MacNET:HAN GENIE:BYRONHAN COMPUSERVE:72167,1664 UUCP:{sun, voder, nsc, decwrl}!apple!han
