I think I have our copy (legal) working, but since I am a computer science major, I don't have the musical backgroud to be sure. We have a Mac II running the System Update 5.0, an Opcode Systems MIDI interface, 2 DX100 keyboards, 1 DX7 keyboard, and a Esoniq Mirage synth. I think the program works, but I would appreciate a description from someone who knows exactly what it does. The same holds true for some of the other software we have, including Jam Factory and OnBeat (same company -- this may not be the right name -- I don't have the software near me at the time). I have not been able to get the Deluxe Music Construction Set to do anything but crash. My conclusion: not Mac II compatible. Anyone have any comments about this? We also have a program called MidiPaint that does not work because it wants us to use a Jam Box MIDI interface when we have Opcode Interfaces. I would also be interested in hearing about any other MIDI software for the Mac II. You can never tell when more money will come along... Thanks, Michael Niehaus
