According to Digital, "on Tuesday, February 2nd, Digital has made a
worldwide announcement of its new high performance Workstation -
VS8000" that claims to have "fastest 3D Vector performance on the
market".

Does anyone know anything about this machine, and how it compares in
benchmarks with present systems such as Sun 3/260CXP and Sun 4?
