Does anyone have any part of a WordPerfect to TeX translator, or
back again?  I'm not looking for real magic.  Just the rudiments like
centering, bold, italic, underline, block protection, and so on.

WP files use eight-bit codes to represent things like bold on and bold
off, so it shouldn't be too hard to replace them with {\bf and }.
WP doesn't require  things to be properly nested, but users can
deal wth that ,I think.
