These are hung off a WD 1002-WAH controller. Others reported problems with WD 1003 controllers - is this the only difference? /root, /swap, /usr, and /u are on the Maxtor, /usr/spool/news is the 225. Needless to say, there is much copying between both drives. and no "phantom" bad sectors... -John
