I would take this kind of rough estimate memory check with a huge grain of salt since X and NeWS are rather different in the way they do things. You can download all kinds of stuff into the news server which most likely will make it use "more" memory than the X server. On the other hand, it would tend to make NeWS applications quite a bit smaller then X applications. In short simple ps's and size's are not going to tell you much. -mike
