Imagine, someone walks up to a student who has never used computers, or uses them little and dislikes them (an unfortunately common state), and hands them a flyer explaining how useful the usenet and computers are for information and relaxation... The student is going to look at it and say "computers are no fun, what kind of **** is this?" and toss it... Now, you walk up to an anti-computer friend, and say "Hey, come and see this neat/funny/sad/special/great/whatever! article..." and all of a sudden you have a convert.
