Simple - you do what everyone else does. You say something really stupid and wait for the flames! :-) Well, another way you can test without cluttering up the net is to post with a restricted distribution - say - just your city or state. Ask your usenet admin for more info. There is also a to.neighbor newsgroup where neighbor is an adjacent system in the UUCP topology. If all else fails, post to misc.test with the smallest distribution that seems to work. Actually - if you as a news reader have questions about this, talk to your USENET system administrator.
