I had heard a few of these stories about patchlevel 14 troubles not
long after 13 & 14 came out, so I stopped at 12 and have been running
there for some months.  Although 14 may cause you troubles in SysV, 12
is very, very stable, and provides Supercedes: header line support as
well.
